Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park is a zoological sanctuary dedicated to the care and display of Florida indigenous species. Here, visitors explore habitats featuring Florida panther, black bear, white tail deer, manatees, otters, gray fox and even whooping cranes, to name just a few species. The park draws more than 300,000 visitors annually.
Here, Cape Leisure, under a concession agreement with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, provides food, retail and special events services. Food service includes the Wildside Café, where guests may choose from a varied menu providing park staples such as hamburgers, hot dogs and sandwiches, as well a number of healthy and sustainable meal offerings such as salads and veggie wraps. Snacks, drinks and ice cream may be purchased at the Gator Bites kiosk, and soft pretzels and novelty ice cream are available at mobile cart locations in season throughout the park. The Pepper Creek Terrace is a beautiful, waterfront special events room which Cape Leisure offers for rent for weddings, reunions, meetings and lectures.
Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park features two large gift shops as well. Within these stores, Cape Leisure offers a wide variety of gifts, educational toys, plush, souvenirs, apparel, books and visitor conveniences.
