Silver Springs State Park Glass Bottom Boat Tour

As one of the largest first magnitude artesian springs ever discovered, visitors have long been captivated by Silver Springs’ natural beauty and vibrant clarity. Located in central Ocala, Florida, Silver Springs State Park has been a natural landmark since the 1870s. The springs feeds into the Silver River, a 5-mile stream that flows east from the springs to the Ocklawaha river. The park contains the entire length of the Silver River, an Outstanding Florida Waterway (OFW) and one of the few remaining undeveloped rivers of Florida.

At Silver Springs State Park, Cape Leisure offers food, retail, watercraft rentals, ballroom and pavilion rentals, catering services, Glass Bottom Boat tours and marketing under a concession contract with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the Florida Park Service.

At the Spring Side Cafe, the counter service restaurant serves a variety of selections including made-to-order sandwiches, hamburgers and hot dogs, chicken strips, fresh salads, and daily specials. Fresh and healthy menu options are also available, from chicken ranch wraps to vegan and vegetarian options. Next door, Paradise Treats offers ice cream, fresh baked goods and hand-made fudge. The gift shop presents a variety of souvenirs and local artwork for a special memento.

Cape Leisure coordinates pavilion and Paradise Ballroom rentals for weddings, receptions, festivals and family occasions. Catering services are also available.

From its Paddling Adventures concession located within the park’s main entrance, Cape Leisure provides visitors with hourly and daily canoe, kayak and stand-up paddleboard rentals on the crystal-clear Silver River. Return transportation is provided for those taking the 5-mile paddling experience to Ray Wayside Park.

As Florida’s oldest attraction, the Glass Bottom Boats showcase the crystal-clear springs and underwater life. Cape Leisure manages the daily boat tours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and extended boat tours, offered three times a day Friday through Sunday.

Marketing responsibilities include billboards, brochure, rack card, brochure distribution, website, media relations and social media.
