kayaking at Werner-Boyce Salt Springs State Park

Werner-Boyce Salt Springs State Park protects four miles of pristine coastline along the Gulf of Mexico in western Pasco County. Just steps away from the modern world is this hidden gem where the sights and sounds of nature captivate guests. The park features walking trails, picnic tables, and new in 2017: elevated observation deck with restrooms. Boardwalks and ADA kayak launch. Visitors can enjoy fishing and paddling the inlets and bayous that wander through the salt marsh.

At Werner-Boyce Salt Springs, Cape Leisure offers watercraft rentals and refreshments. Through its Paddling Adventures operation our fleet of 40 stand-up paddleboard and kayaks are available for hourly and daily rentals under a concession contract with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the Florida Park Service.

Guests have two options for exploration: 1) Paddle the inlets and bayous leading to the 350-foot deep salt spring, guided by the mangrove-lined shores and 2) Take to the open waterways to discover the Gulf of Mexico.

Rentals, beverages, snacks and sundry items are available at a custom trailer located between the parking area and the kayak launch.
